Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a full-time Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to support a large-scale, nationwide project management, business process improvement, information management, communications and outreach, and records management contract for the federal government. The PAO will lead communications, outreach, and digital media efforts for the client, ensuring clear, compliant, and impactful messaging to internal and external audiences.

 

The PAO role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience supporting federal clients, preferably within the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs, and strategic planning initiatives. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

 

This is a contingent hire position.

 

The PAO be required to work on-site in Falls Church, VA. Travel for meetings will be required.

 

The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation, is between $90,000 and $110,000.00.  The position offers with medical, dental and vision coverage.  Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop messaging and materials for blood donation campaigns.
  • Lead creation of the ASBP annual report, newsletters, graphics, and videos.
  • Manage ASBP website and social media content and performance tracking.
  • Draft press releases and respond to media inquiries in coordination with ASBP HQ.
  • Provide PAO support for blood drives and ASBP events.
  • Ensure all communications comply with DoD branding and HIPAA requirements.
  • Support other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively manage expectations with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
