Job Summary

Artemis is seeking an Executive Vice President of Health to provide strategic direction, subject matter expertise and management across a portfolio of healthcare contracts. The EVP is responsible for leading and developing Artemis’s health-related capability areas and fostering innovation and service delivery excellence across programs. The EVP spearheads initiatives that advance Artemis’s mission as a leader in health solutions for federal agencies and builds high performing teams to execute contract requirements.

 

This position is remote with periodic travel to Artemis’s headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, and client sites as required.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Build external relationships with organizations, senior clients and influencers
  • Lead and participate in partner development, organizational management and strategic and business planning
  • Provide subject matter expertise for key organizational programs, projects and contracts
  • Oversee development of white papers and thought leadership pieces to advance Artemis brand with our clients
  • Represent Artemis at conferences, events and through speaking engagements with a goal of building Artemis brand and establishing Artemis a leader in federal healthcare transformation
  • Provide expert understanding of public health problems, unique solution development and impactful delivery
  • Develop an overall strategic direction of healthcare focused activities including development, implementation, market research and strategic partnerships
  • Lead or guide content for proposal development to secure healthcare contracts and grants with healthcare systems, government, private foundations and other health-related institutions
  • Drive innovation in healthcare services by developing new programs and solutions that improve accessibility, convenience and quality of care
  • Mentor, coach and advise team members on navigating project challenges and supporting career growth and opportunity

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success delivering health services to Department of Veterans Affairs or similar agencies
  • Expertise across multiple clinical and healthcare operations domains
  • Proven leadership experience in healthcare operations and strategy
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, technology and trends
  • Previous experience leading quality improvement initiatives, with expertise in measurement in healthcare settings, systems improvement models, population health and health systems design

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in healthcare, business administration or equivalent.
  • Previous experience selling professional services to Health and Human Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills—supervision, priority setting, planning.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills as related to healthcare topics.
  • Enjoys and excels in working in multidisciplinary, team-based settings.
