Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a Project Manager with demonstrated experience overseeing a large-scale communications and digital media campaign contract with the federal government. The contract scope will encompass a variety of tasks related to media relations, public information, community outreach, crisis communication, and internal communications.

 

The Project Manager role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver, and action-oriented team player with previous experience in federal contracting, preferably with military clients. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

 

This is a contingent hire position.

 

This position is currently slated to be on site in Washington, DC. Remote work may be considered at a future date. Travel to support client engagements may be required.

 
The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation, is between $120,000 to $140,000.  The position offers with medical, dental and vision coverage.  Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, manage, execute, and close out projects in support of the client’s mission.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Project Management Plan, Communications Plan, annual report and other traditional project management documents and reports.
  • Ensure all project tasks are completed on time, on budget, and within scope of the contract.
  • Manage all client relationships and facilitate project briefings to key stakeholders, including senior executives in the government.
  • Review all products developed by the team to ensure they meet client and contractual quality requirements.
  • Identify and resolve risks and conflicts quickly and effectively.
  • Translate complex messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.
  • Gather, analyze, fact check, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.
  • Write, review and edit content in compliance with AP style and other federal content guidelines.
  • Support other duties and assignments as required by the clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or a related field OR 12 years of experience with a master’s degree or higher.
  • Proven ability to provide guidance and direction for executive-level projects.
  • Ability to implement initiative management principles, business process development, business re-engineering, and strategic business objectives.
  • Ability to provide consulting services to federal clients.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects of high complexity and to direct the completion of projects within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Ability to coordinate all parties to tasks and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Ability to read government policy, regulations, and directives and to apply those interpretations when directed by the government.
  • Proven experience communication comfortably and effectively with a range of stakeholders both orally and in email.
  • Proven experience maintaining an understanding of current events relating to the client and their work while analyzing and developing appropriate and effective responses to those events.
  • Ability to understand client’s priorities and provide creative ideas and strategic thought to support their mission.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
