Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a full-time Strategy Team Lead to oversee planning and implementation efforts for a variety of information technology (IT) related communication strategies. This individual will be responsible for developing, executing and monitoring the success of strategic communication program analysis and strategy recommendations.

 

This candidate will be expected to work onsite in Washington, D.C. approximately three times a week.

 

The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation, is between $130,000 and $150,000. The position offers with medical, dental and vision coverage.  Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations to improve the performance of blog posts, emails, social media, earned media, unearned media and employee sentiment.
  • Leverage data and survey findings to make recommendations for how to develop new or improve communication mechanisms that support a compelling, data-driven narrative.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and provide recommendations to support the development of the government’s Annual Communication Outcomes Report and communication strategies.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the government’s communication strategy to include marketing best practices.
  • Provide updates to the communication strategy based on the government’s strategic plan and priorities, industry best practices and other pertinent data.
  • Incorporate processes and procedures on how to adopt or align various communication priorities into a smaller, deliberate set of campaigns that can be executed in an agile, time-phased manner.
  • Collect, interpret and synthesize leadership priorities into a plain language, marketable message for audiences.
  • Create story-driven narratives that form the foundation of outreach campaigns.
  • Recommend creative concepts and new approaches for communication activities that incorporate data analysis.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned by senior project management.
  • Translate complex messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.
  • Ensure content conveys critical information and reflects key messaging in a standardized and consistent tone and voice.
  • Review documents for stylistic and formatting consistency.
  • Ensure all content aligns with client style guides and federal plain language standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years of related experience.
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Familiarity with congressional and other oversight bodies.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
