Job Summary

Aptive seeks a skilled Financial Analyst to support the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) RISE Implementation initiative by providing financial analysis and reporting support. This role will assist in collecting, validating, and analyzing baseline financial data to inform planning, readiness assessments, and implementation activities. The analyst will support evaluation of financial alignment with the new organizational structure, helping to identify funding impacts, resource requirements, and potential risks associated with transition activities across VHACO and VISNs.

 

Primary Responsibilities

In support of implementation, the Financial Analyst will contribute to financial tracking, budgeting support, and performance monitoring activities. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of financial models, supporting cost analyses tied to process and organizational changes, and maintaining financial trackers to monitor progress toward Initial and Full Operating Capability. The analyst will also support the identification of financial risks and dependencies, contribute to reporting on financial performance metrics, and assist in developing recommendations to improve financial efficiency and resource allocation throughout implementation.

 

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and data analysis, along with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required, with coursework or experience in public sector or healthcare finance preferred. The role requires proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience, including with financial analysis, budgeting, and data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related program, such as finance or accounting.
  • Consulting experience supporting large, complex Cabinet-level federal agencies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
