Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a full-time junior-level Project Manager with experience managing a large-scale project in a consulting environment. The ideal candidate will understand project management, communication, writing, branding and consulting best practices. The Project Manager must be able to lead a team and will be responsible for the successful execution of a communications and branding contract. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the management of contract scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality.

 

The Project Manager role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in management consulting. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

 

This is a contingent hire position.

 

This position is remote. However, travel for occasional in-person meetings may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks requiring management of a large-scale program, encompassing multiple projects.
  • Lead, plan, manage, execute and close out projects in support of the client’s mission.
  • Develop and maintain critical project management documents to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and in alignment with available funding.
  • Manage client relationships and facilitate project briefing to key stakeholders in the government and at Artemis.
  • Review all products developed by the team to ensure they meet client and contractual quality requirements.
  • Identify and resolve risks quickly and effectively, escalating to internal leadership as needed.
  • Assist with managing a team of communications, video production, graphic design and other experts, providing subject matter expertise for and oversight of all products produced by the team.
  • Translate complex scientific messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.
  • Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in a strategic role.
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Proven experience leading digital content communications and outreach campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience working with federal clients and C-level executives.
  • Experience in developing communications and branding products such as communications plans, fact sheets, videos, infographics, branding packages, toolkits and more.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry-leading social media and e-newsletter platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
