Job Summary

Artemis is seeking a full-time Management Analyst with experience managing complex strategic planning and research efforts in a consulting environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of program management, strategic planning and consulting best practices. The Management Analyst must be able to help lead a team and will be responsible for the successful execution of a strategic planning and research-focused contract. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality of the contract. In addition, the Management Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development of environmental scans; an engagement toolkit for internal and external audiences; surveys; and listening sessions with a variety of stakeholders.

 

The Management Analyst role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in management consulting. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

 

This is a contingent hire position.

 

This position is remote. However, travel for occasional in-person meetings may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, manage, execute and close out projects in support of the client's mission.
  • Develop and maintain critical project management documents to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and in alignment with available funding.
  • Manage client relationships and facilitate project briefings with key stakeholders in the government and at Artemis.
  • Review all products developed by the team to ensure they meet client and contractual quality requirements.
  • Identify and resolve risks quickly and effectively, escalating to internal leadership as needed.
  • Help manage a team of communications, research and graphic design experts, providing subject matter expertise for and oversight of all products produced by the team.
  • Translate complex messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.
  • Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a strategic role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Proven experience leading strategic planning, communications and outreach efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience working with federal clients and C-level executives.
  • Proven ability to manage, lead and motivate a team of senior- and junior-level professionals.
  • Proven experience successfully managing research efforts (e.g., listening sessions, environmental scans, surveys).
  • Demonstrated experience with industry-leading project management and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to translate scientific publications and other technical information into written materials that are concise, yet thorough.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking support for its development of the FY 2026-2030 Strategic Plan and Learning Agenda, particularly in performing an environmental scan and in engaging NSF communities to provide input to the plan. NSF’s strategic plan process begins with an assessment of the current operating environment and identification of opportunities and risks in that environment in the years to come. NSF’s environmental scan for the FY 2026-2030 Strategic Plan will help identify opportunities to advance the agency’s mission of scientific discovery in key areas, and train the next generation of scientists and engineers.
