Artemis is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer with a deep understanding of digital content, graphic design and Section 508 compliance. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing a wide variety of content for a federal client. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience designing products including, but not limited to toolkits, social media, flyers, slide decks and more.

The Graphic Designer role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in management consulting. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position.

This position is remote. However, travel for occasional in-person meetings may be required.

• Translate complex scientific messaging into visually appealing content that ensures materials are easy to read, understand and use.
• Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.
• Create story-driven narratives using visual elements that form the foundation of digital outreach campaigns.
• Recommend creative concept and new approaches for communication activities that incorporate leading best practices and methodologies.
• Review products for Section 508 compliance and adherence to client branding guidelines.

• 3 years of experience in a strategic role.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Portfolio of work required.
• Understanding of Section 508 accessibility guidelines and standards.
• Proven experience leading digital content communications and outreach campaigns.
• Experience developing digital communications products such as toolkits, slide decks, social media and more.
• Demonstrated experience synthesizing survey findings into appealing visuals for a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated experience with industry-leading software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
• Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking support for its development of the FY 2026-2030 Strategic Plan and Learning Agenda, particularly in performing an environmental scan and in engaging NSF communities to provide input to the plan. NSF’s strategic plan process begins with an assessment of the current operating environment and identification of opportunities and risks in that environment in the years to come.
